John Ruskin műveiből összeállított, napokra lebontott gondolatok és idézetek gyűjteménye. Keretdíszes oldalakkal. Az oldalpárok bal oldalán található az adott napokra szánt mottó, a bal oldali üres helyekre az olvasó beírhatta személyes megjegyzéseit. Találunk is öt angol, német és magyar nyelvű bejegyzést az egykor possessor részéről: „Giordano Bruno burned living at Rome 1600. Campo di Fiore”; „My birthday (1867.)”; „Visit paid to Mère Imelde, Üllői út”; „1919. nov. 14. a „Nemzeti Hadsereg” bevonulása Budapestre.”; stb.
Poss.: Tocsek Helén könyvtára. [Tocsek Helén (1867–1941) főiskolai tanár, író (A bujdosó fiú, 1892; Emlékezés Erzsébet királynéról, 1901), a Vasárnapi Újság és pedagógiai folyóiratok szerzője.]
Korabeli, díszesen aranyozott gerincű, vaknyomásos, álbordás, fekete egészmaroquin kötésben, az első kötéstáblán díszesen aranyozott keretben címfelirattal, a hátsón vaknyomással, aranyozott lapszélekkel. Dekoratív, szép példány.
