Gilded silver, 631 g. On round base decorated with flatted palmette leaves, shaft segmented with segmenting rings; on it, pierced bowl with seven replaced bells. Finely crafted, embossed, punched and chased, alternating flower and leaf decorations on surface. Hebrew inscription engraved on top of base: “This is the tree of life and all instruments of sanctity. Underneath: "Donated by kind-hearted folk to the 'Association of the Perpetual Lamp' the religious community of Kanizsa, to honour of the Eternal One and his Troy, in 607, according to Jewish time" (1847) (translation) Restored. Marked at bottom of shaft: Vienna, 1847, Thomas Mayerhofer. Neuwirth: P 2279 H.: 31 cm
