Ganz Beschreibung

His literary activity centred on humour of a bawdy, sometimes pornographic nature. On this sheet appear an eight- and a four-line poem. In both, Lőwy crossed out (though left legible) the vulgar words for male and female genitalia. These verses were probably written for the circle of friends gathered around Lajos Thallóczy (the “Büzérnagy”), known as the Deli Büzér Club (to which Réthy also belonged).
1 written page.
With:
Lőwy’s humorous poetic greeting, "Üdv Szávay Gyula koszorús költőnk 25-éves jubileumára" (Greetings to our laureate poet Gyula Szávay on his 25th anniversary). The unpublished text was read by him in Debrecen on 28 February 1909, where Szávay – a noted poet – was secretary of the local Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Characteristically, Lőwy crossed out several coarse words (such as “shit,” “prick,” “fart,” “cunt”) so that they remained readable. It is not known whether he read them aloud.
3 written pages.
With:
Humorous greeting for Árpád Lőwy’s 50th birthday. The text of the occasional print by one of the members of the above club, speaking in the name of the “Büzérnagy.” At the top of the sheet is a humorous photograph. The last sentence perhaps illustrates the tone: "Here is the decoration – fuck you."
1 printed page.
