Containing, in a concise manner, the time of their birth, death, and When they Flourished. Together with their age, country, Places of Residence, Masters, Excellencies, and Principal Works. Chiefly collected from a manuscript of the late famous Father Resta.
London, 1739. Joseph Duke. 4 sztl. lev. 63 l. 18 l. (a 18 l. első levele hiányzik), 102 t. helyett 89 t. 280 mm.
A 102 rézmetszetű portréból sajnos hiányzik 13 t., többek között Hubert és John Van Eyck, Rubens, Van Dyck…
A 92, 93, 98, 99. lapokon jelentéktelen tintás firkálás, képmezőt nem érint.
Padre Sebastiano Resta (1635, Milánó - 1714, Róma) az olasz művészet legjelentősebb gyűjtője és kritikusa. Műve a korai reneszánsztól a 18. század elejéig mutatja be a festők életét és művészetét.
XIX. szd. eleji, javított félbőr-kötésben, enyhén kopottas, sérült gerinccel.
