Ferenc által kiadott második Ratio Educationis sok tekintetben eltér az 1777-es, Mária Terézia féle rendelettől. Változtat a felügyeleti jog gyakorlásának módján, és külön intézkedik a lányok tanításáról is. A protestánsok ugyan nem fogadták el irányul iskoláik működéséhez egyik rendelet sem, de a katolikus iskolák egészen 1848-ig ezek szellemében voltak szervezve és berendezve. Díszesen aranyozott gerincű egészbőr-kötésben. 208 mm.
