Contemporary coloured maps of the Northern and the Southern Polar Regions by Henricus Hondius with French text on the back. Both dedication cartouches are blank. The northern part (third state) is based on the cartography of Henry Briggs and Thomas James. The southern part represents the new discoveries in Australia. Fine, clean copies. Dimensions: 435 x 490 (480 x 580 and 485 x 565) mm.
