The first work on Hungarian Protestant church history starts with the Hussite movements and goes through the spread of the Lutheran Reformation in Hungary to describe the appearance, expansion and conflicts of the Calvinist and Unitarian denominations.
The small book can be considered more like a document archive. It provides interesting parliamentary decrees, synod resolutions, certificates, decrees, and, in the appendix, the correspondence of Gábor Bethlen and Heidelberg teacher Pareus, which Pápai Páriz collected during his studies. Its importance is that for a long time the foreign public that had become increasingly interested in the international political situation only found information about the Protestant believers in this work.
