Paizs-Goebel Jenő (1896 - 1944): 1915-1916 között az Iparrajziskola üvegfestő részlegében tanult, majd 1924-ig a Képzőművészeti Főiskolán Zemplényi Tivadar és Réti István növendéke volt. 1916-ban Nagybányán is megfordult. 1924 júliusától a következő év végéig Nemes Marcell-ösztöndíjjal Párizsban és Barbizonban dolgozott. 1926-ban ismét Nagybányán festett. A következő évben már Szentendrén dolgozott, alapító tagja volt a Szentendrei Festők Társaságának."
