Saida hajón hajózott. Kelet-Afrikába, Kelet-Ázsiába és Ausztráliába 1898-99-ben. Zeidler Ottót 1908. május 1-jén nevezték ki sorhajókapitánynak; 1918. május 1-jén Korvettenkapitän-é léptették elő. A S.M.U-I (1911-13), az U-II (1914-15) és az U-XIV (1915) parancsnoka volt; a háború vége felé a polai tengeralattjáró állomás parancsnoka volt. / Portrait of Linienschiffsleutnant Otto Zeidler. Zeidler, born in Speising-bei-Wien on August 26, 1878, and died in Vienna on September 15, 1961, joined the service on September 20, 1896. As a cadet, he sailed on S.M.S. Saida's voyage to East Africa, East Asia, and Australia in 1898-99.Otto Zeidler was gazetted Linienschiffleutnant on May 1, 1908; on May 1, 1918, he was promoted to Korvettenkapitän. He was in command on S.M.U-I (1911-13), U-II (1914-15), and U-XIV (1915); towards the end of the War he commanded the Pola submarine station. 10 cm x 13.5 cm
