Pair of German Neo-classicist Style Mass Pitchers
Partially gold-plated silver, 493 g. Small wine- and water-cans on oval plate. Embossed, punched and chased classicist style decorations on rims. On hinged tilting lids, finger rest in the shape of letters A (aqua) and V (vinum). Used during masses to hold the wine and water for transformation. Restored. Marked: Augsburg, 1827, Joseph Heinrich Mussmann, metal fineness mark 13 times half ounce. Seling: 315, 2713. S.: 27.5 × 19 × 14 cm
