1899. augusztus 27. M: 20,5 x 15 cm. Szalonta várát a hajdúk kezdték el építeni 1620-ban és Rákóczi György segítségével fejezték be 1636-ban. Őrtornya, amelyben puskaport és fegyvereket tároltak, még ma is áll, és a Csonka-torony néven vált ismertté. 1899-ben építették újra. A fotó a megnyitó kapcsán készült.
