Munkácsy Mihály eredeti cabinet-portréja.
A fotó Párizsban, 1880 körül készült Ad[olph] Braun & C. műtermében a Boulevard des Capucines 3. sz. alatt. Mérete: 163 × 106 mm. Sarkainál sérülésekkel.
Adolph Braun több pózban megörökítette a fiatal, magas festőt, Párizs egyik ünnepelt művészét és társasági emberét. Rubens jelmezében és "civilben", a kor legdivatosabb ruháiban is lefotózta, s több német, francia divatlap társasági rovata közölte ezeket a fényképeket. (A Békéscsabai Múzeum Munkácsy ismertetője.)
Aranyozott, 240 × 185 mm. méretű fakeretbe helyezve.
