Baroque Ornamental Bowl from Moustiers
Faience with tin glaze. Rectangular form with cut corners, fluted rim. On the border there are cobalt blue painted regence-motifs. There are stylised floral motifs, fantastic creatures, mascarons, statue-like figures on plinth inside, a la Berain decoration. In the middle there is a king of Whitsuntide with cloak and sceptre. Moustiers, circa 1720, Clerissy-workshop. Size: 41 x 33 cm
