Osztottmezős rézmetszetű látkép. (Vienna, 1737. Straubius.) 1 t. Rézmetszet. M: 25,5 x 39,1 cm. Mikoviny Sámuel (1698-1750) matematikus, mérnök, földmérő, tanár, a magyar térképészet megalapítója. A 19. század előhírnökeként, korát többszörösen megelőzve, üstökösként alkotott maradandót Mikoviny Sámuel. Az elsősorban térképészként ismert Mikovinyi 1722-ben hat hónapon keresztül Nürnbergben Johann Georg Puschnernél (1680–1749) rézmetszést is tanult. E tudását kamatoztatta ennél a műnél is.
