Martine Franck (April 2, 1938 in Antwerp, August 16, 2012 in Paris) was a Belgian photographer. She was a member of the famous photo agency Magnum Photos and co-founder of the Henri-Cartier-Bresson Foundation. Leonor Fini (August 30, 1907 in Buenos Aires, January 18, 1996 in Paris) was an Italian surrealist painter. In 1937, Leonor Fini visited Paris for the first time, where she became friends with surrealist painters, including artists such as Salvador Dalí, Max Ernst, Man Ray, André Pieyre de Mandiargues and Georges Bataille. Leonor Fini‘s work for theatre, ballet and opera, which she continued for the rest of her life, began with her work on sets and costumes for George Balanchine‘s ballet Le Palais de Cristal for the Paris Opera.
