Markó Lajos (1882 - ?)
Festő, grafikus. A budapesti Képzőművészeti Főiskolán tanult. Mesterei: Zemplényi Tivadar, Székely Bertalan. Figurális kompozíciókat festett, emellett illusztrációval is foglalkozott. Huszonhat rézkarcot készített Dante "Divina Comediájá"-hoz. A Pokol illusztrálására 1921-ben a Corvin Mátyás Magyar-Olasz Társaság kérte fel, az általuk szervezett készülődő Dante-kiállítás apropóján. A pokol borzalmai és a festőművész merész fantáziája, technikai tudása, nagy hatású képeket eredményezett.
