Marék Veronika a maga szórakoztatására írta és rajzolta Boribonról szóló első meséjét 17 éves korában. „Édesapám bevitte a Móra Kiadóba, de mivel akkor 1955-öt írtunk, ez a képeskönyv, amelyben minden képhez csak egy mondat társult, meglepte a kiadót, ezért véleményt kértek Gádorné Donáth Blanka gyermekpszichológustól. Ő melegen támogatta, így indult el írói pályám egy váratlan fordulattal, holott én színházi szakember akartam lenni.”

Kiadói, illusztrált félvászon kötésben, tiszta, szép állapotban. Az illusztrációk mélynyomással készültek.
