Hungarian Art Deco Desk Middle Part
Silver, 945 g. Embossed, round server with wavy rim raised on three ball shape supports. Question rotating rose inside the belly divided by twisted lobes, decorative chasing on its surface. Signed: Pest, around 1940, with unresolved Benedek and Stössel. Diameter: 33.5 cm Famous silversmiths from Kolozsvár, the first silver factory in Transylvania is linked with their names. After the re-annexation of Transylvania, they worked with Pest certification marks between 1942-1944.
