Lore Jahnel (1947–2013) was a German object artist who was born on April 26, 1947 in Vienna and later lived in the Hohenlohe region. She studied at the Academy of Arts in Vienna, where her artistic focus developed on painting, graphics and etching. Jahnel was characterized by an independent, sensitive and at the same time energetic style of expression with which she dealt with existential topics such as transience, war, peace, human existence and the connection between body and soul. Her works combine different techniques and materials and range from painting and drawing to interdisciplinary object installations. As a cross-border artist, she experimented with performance and teamwork with other artists. In addition to her artistic work, she also worked as a lecturer at the Schwäbisch Hall Academy of the Arts, of which she was a co-founder. In 1990 she was awarded the international Jörg Syrlin Art Prize. Jahnel died on September 5, 2013 after a serious illness. Further artists and styles: Alfred Jahnel, Hermann Nitsch, Arnulf Rainer, Valie Export, Maria Lassnig, Rudolf Schwarzkogler, Günter Brus, Otto Muehl, Joseph Beuys
PLEASE NOTE:
The purchase price consists of the highest bid plus the buyer's premium, sales tax and, if applicable, the fee of artists resale rights. In the case of normal taxation (marked ° at the estimate), a premium of 24% is added to the highest bid. The mandatory sales tax is added to the sum of the highest bid and the buyer's premium. This amounts to 13% for paintings, drawings, graphic works and sculptures and 20% for photographs and all other items.
The buyer's premium amounts to 28% in case of differential taxation. The sales tax is included in the differential taxation.
