The literary-historical significance of this anthology lies in the fact that it was the first volume to include a poem by Attila József (after a few earlier journal publications). As a student in Makó, he came into contact with the journal Színház és Társaság in Szeged with the support of Gyula Juhász, who arranged for some of his poems to be published. Through this, he befriended the young poets who compiled this volume, which led to the inclusion of four of his poems (Fiatal életek indulója, Lélekszirteken, Falak, Aratás előtt). The book appeared in early November, and only weeks later his first independent collection Szépség koldusa (Beggar of Beauty) was also published.
