Prága, 1617. Séssius Pál. (14)+426 [recte 416]+(2)+339 [recte 345]+(13)p. Title pages surrounded by woodcut frame.
A devotional treatise on hell and heavenly bliss, in two parts, each with its own title-page and pagination. It forms the continuation of the author’s earlier Az halando es itéletre menendeo tellyes emberi nemzetnek fenyes tüköre (Prague, 1616), on death and the Last Judgement. Both are translations of works by the Italian Gabriele Inchino, rendered into Latin by Anton Dulcken. Lépes Bálint, later chancellor and archbishop of Kalocsa, was among the earliest practitioners of Hungarian Baroque prose.
Restored codex leaf.
Provenance: With inscription “Conventus Gyöngyösiensis” on title-page.
