István Kozma was born in Ploiesti, Romania and studied in Cluj (Kolozsvár) at the Academy. He lived in Baia Mare (Nagybánya) and moved to Hungary in 1990. He is famous for his paintings of the landscapes around Baia Mare and Baia Sprie.
