Az illusztrációkat az író örökbe fogadott lánya (egyben mostohaunokája), Jókai Róza (a későbbi Feszty Árpádné) készítette. Bár a táblák római számmal vannak ellátva (I-XXXV-ig), kollacionálásuk szinte lehetetlen, ugyanis XXXIII-as számot viselő nem szerepel, viszont négy számot is (XXIII; XXV; XXVI; XXX) két-két különböző rajz kapott meg. A XXVII-es táblát kétszer kötötték bele. Aranyozott gerincű, korabeli vászonkötésben. Szüry: 2128.
