Csak a 2. kötet. A teljes mű 3 kötetes. A címlapon tintával írt bejegyzések.
Egyetlen kiadás. Monumentális irodalomtörténeti lexikon, amely az itthoni tudományosság alkotóit sorolja fel ábécérendben. A historia litteraria műfajának e példánya a kor tudományosság fogalmát használja, a költők, írók mellett a teológia, a jog és a természettudományok alkotói is bekerülnek a névsorba. A piarista szerző elfogulatlan szemlélő, felekezeti szempontok kevéssé torzítják beszámolóját, a protestáns írásokat éppúgy ismerteti, mint a katolikusokat, hiszen minden fél a magyarság tudományos gyarapodásán dolgozott. A későbbi irodalomtörténetek és bibliográfiák sokáig forrásmunkának használták. Studio 40/252.
