A 750 példányban megjelent könyvművészeti kötet a franciaországi ex libris művészetet tekinti át 1574-től a XIX. század végéig. Oldalszámozáson belül 22 egész oldalas és több mint 150 szövegközi illusztrációval. A kötet első felében zömmel arisztokraták, a második részben politikusok és írók (I. Napóleon, Murat, III. Napóleon, Victor Hugo, Théophile Gautier) ritkán látható könyvjegyei szerepelnek, jól szemmel követhető a stílusjegyek változása is.

Az eredeti, aranyozott vászonkötés elemeinek felhasználásával, a XX. század második felében készült egészvászon kötésben, felül eredeti aranyozású lapszélekkel. Körülvágatlan példány.
