Gabriel Barthélemy Gramond francia történetíró munkája először 1743-ban jelent meg Toulouse-ban, ez a második kiadása, de az első Elzevir-kiadás. Munkája Franciaország 1610 és 1629 közötti időszakát tekinti át, némi visszatekintéssel a dinasztiaalapító Bourbon IV. Henrik alakjára, és némi európai kitekintéssel. A harmincéves háború nyitójelenetét, az 1618-as prágai eseményeket kiemelten kezeli, de nem feledkezik meg a francia érdekkörbe tartozó hercegségek (pl. Mantova) dinasztiájának elemzésétől sem. Elzevir kiadványtól nem meglepően kiemelkedően jó állapotú, tiszta szövegoldalakkal. A címlapon régi tulajdonosi bejegyzés a fametszetű nyomdászjelvény mellett. Oldalszámozások között néhány szövegtagoló, fametszetű grafikával, iniciálékkal.

Korabeli, pergamenkötésben, gerincén kézzel írt címfelirattal, az első kötéstáblán enyhe folttal. Dekoratív, szép példány.
