Painter, graphic artist, interior designer and freco artist - mythological subjects, sacral pictures, portrairs, landscapes, initially expressive depictions, from around 1927/1928 New Objectivist tendenciies and after WW II predominantly abstract colour experiments (colour dramaturgies), from 1959 or so, preoccupation with mobile image objects (Colormobil). After finishing Gymnasium in Salzburg, he studied philosophy and medicine at Vienna (no degree), simultaneously nude drawing course at Kunstgerwerbeschule Vienna, otherwise self-taught. Went on study trips to Germany, Italy and France. In 1923, he participated in Wiener Secession, In 1925, solo show at Galerie H.Goltz in Munich. 1924-1938 member of the Hagenbund, 1934/1935 design of postal stamps (national custumes series and airmail series), from 1935-1939, as a result of his father's death, he ran his parents' business in Salzburg (Hotel de l´Europe) which he decorated with furniture and frescoes he disigned himself. Further frescoes at the main library of the University of Salzburg. 1940-1945 military service, from 1942the NSDAP banned him from exhibiting. 1945-1952 member of the Wiener Secession. Also literary activities (short stories, from the estate manuscript "Wir sechs" - "The SIx of Us") His artworks Werke are in the collections of finden Belvedere, Albertina, Museum der Moderne Salzburg, Wien Museum and others. Ehrengrab (grave of honour) in the Salzburger Kommunalfriedhof (Municipal Cemetary Salzburg).
