Biedermeier Pendant Watch, Czapeck et Patek
Gold 585, on backside, in graven and enamelled frame, painted enamel miniature: mother teaching her daughter to read, enamelled dial with Roman numerals, back key-wound, 3-stone cylindrical movement in working condition, Switzerland, around 1840, case no.: 9365, gross weight 22.5 g, key replaced. Patek et Czapeck Co. was founded in Geneva, in 1839. Two Polish emigrants, Anton Patek and Francois Czapek went their own way in 1845 and founded their own company.
