Fényes Elek (Csokaj 1807-1876 Újpest) közgazdasági, statisztikai, földrajzi és helytörténeti
író. Az MTA első tagja 1837-ben. Műveinek leíró része hatalmas értékű néprajzi forrás is.
Elképzelései 1867 (kiegyezés éve) után főként Keleti Károly munkásságában valósultak meg.
Egyetlen kiadás, a szerző egyik legritkább műve!
Korabeli, aranyozott gerincű félvászon-kötésben, erezett lapszélekkel. Feszes, jó példány.
