1849. március 14. Pest, 1849. március 14. Landerer. A Pesther Zeitung Landerer és Heckenast kiadásában, ívrét alakban, heti négyszer, illetve július 1-től naponta látott napvilágot. A mindenkori kormányhatalom szinte hivatalos, német nyelvű napilapja lett. Kiszolgálta a Batthyány-kormányt, a Honvédelmi Bizottmányt, 1849-ben Windischgrätzet, az osztrákokat, majd Kossuthot és utána Haynaut, azon a címen, hogy hivatalos orgánumra mindig szükség van.
