Éva Nagy was an Austrian painter and graphic artist. After studying in Kolozsvár and Budapest, she moved to Vienna in 1957, where she continued her education at the Academy of Fine Arts under Albert Paris Gütersloh. Her works include over 2,600 pieces, such as oil paintings, watercolors, pastels, and drawings. She evolved from naturalistic depictions to abstract compositions and became regarded as a significant representative of European Expressionism. Her works are held in prestigious collections such as the Belvedere and the Leopold Museum in Vienna. She received numerous awards, including the Austrian Füger Prize and a Rockefeller Fellowship. Éva Nagy passed away in 2003 in Vienna and is buried at the Central Cemetery.
