Erdélyi Ferenc (1904 – 1959):
1919-ben vették fel a budapesti Iparművészeti Iskolába, de két évvel később átjelentkezett a Képzőművészeti Főiskolára, ahol Rudnay Gyulánál és Benkhard Ágostnál tanult. 1923-tól bejárta szinte egész Európát: Párizs, Madrid, Barcelona után Alexandriában és Kairóban élt. 1926-ban Amerikában járt, kiállított New Yorkban és Philadelphiában is. Belgiumi tartózkodása után, 1928-ban visszatért Budapestre, de röviddel később Svájcba, Finnországba, majd Hollandiába utazott. Három év magyarországi munka után Amerikába költözött, ahol véglegesen letelepedett, s a festés mellett haláláig művészetoktatással foglalkozott.
