Pest, 1864. Ráth Mór (Emich Gusztáv ny.) (12)+336p. First edition.
With an inscription on the flyleaf: „Vécsey Tamásnak baráti emlékül Eötvös József” (To Tamás Vécsey as a token of friendship. József Eötvös). The dedicatee was a jurist, later rector of the University of Budapest, and a member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. In 1861, Eötvös appointed him tutor to his son, Lóránd. At the time of publication, he was teaching at the Academy of Eperjes.
Gilt, original cloth. Inner edges gilt.
