Széchenyi és Kossuth vitájában az utóbbi pártjára állt („Kelet népe és Pesti Hírlap”). Amikor a Pesti Hírlap főszerkesztője barátja, Szalay László lett, itt jelentette meg a parlamentáris kormányzás mellett érvelő cikksorozatát. Ezeket foglalta egybe önállóan e kötetben. Aranyozott gerincű, korabeli félbőr-kötésben. Az eredeti borító bekötve. A címlapon régi könyvtári bélyegzőkkel. Szentkirályi: 19.3.
