Az első magyar irodalomelméleti- kritikai folyóirat, amely folytatásával (Muzárion) együtt 1826 és 1833 között jelent meg. A szerkesztő Szemere Pál mellett, az első két kötetet munkálataiban közreműködött Kölcsey Ferenc is. A vállalkozás célja a kritika műfajának és a romantika alapelveinek magas színvonalú meghonosítása volt.
