Eifert János alkalmazott fotós, fotóművész. 1977-ben a Lobogó; 1978-1988-ban a Búvár fotóriportere, majd 1993-ban a Boom képszerkesztője. 1991-ben a Munich MultiMedia Festivalon a legjobb fényképezés díját kapta; 1993-1997 között a Nimród Fotóklub elnöke; 1997-ben a Magyar Fotóművészek Szövetségének elnöke. Tánc-, aktfotói, természetképei és alkalmazott fotói alapozták meg ismertségét. 1985-től diaporámákat is készít, ezekkel több díjat nyert külföldön. AFIAP, ESFIAP tagja.
