Beszámoló és portrésorozat az 1843–1844-es országgyűlésről. A konzervatívokról (Apponyi György, Széchen Antal, Majláth János) és az ellenzékről (Batthyány Lajos, Eötvös József, Teleki László) egyaránt külön portrékban ír a szerző. A magyar nyelv kérdése is külön fejezetet kapott, ugyanis ezen az országgyűlésen lett a magyar az ország hivatalos nyelve. Gróf Széchenyi Istvánról a könyv 73. oldalán találunk említést. Szentkirályi: H 61.3.
