The author dedicated his work to András Mágocsy, one of the wealthiest lords of north-eastern Hungary. It was first published in 1584, and had numerous editions until the end of the century. Several Hungarian reformed theologians (Mihály Fegyverneki, János Siderius, Tamás Fabricius Tolnai) contributed to it.
18th-century half leather with painted endpapers. Title page restored (with some text loss).
