A Habsburg Birodalomban történő eseményekkel kapcsolatban az európai közvéleményt többek között az érdekelte, hogy mi történik a forradalmi küzdelmekkel és a bécsi menekültekkel. Ebben az időben ezzel a témával foglalkozott a Leuchtthurm című lipcsei hetilap, illetve annak melléklete, a Deutsche Reichs-Bremse. A politikai szatirikus csúfolódás orgánuma, sok magyar vonatkozással és fametszetes karikatúra illusztrációval. Csak két évfolyamot élt meg. Az egyikben „Éljen Kossuth” dal, a másikban ugyanilyen címen egy cikk.
A két ritka példány hajtva, kissé foltos lapokkal, szélein kis gyűrődésekkel.
