The addressee was an editor and music writer. Csáth mentions him in his diary earlier, when he sent a review of Wagner’s Siegfried to the paper: "I sent the review to the paper with Gyula Fodor." In this letter, Csáth asks Fodor to write a few lines for Világ about Puccini’s new opera La fanciulla del West (The Girl of the West), as he suddenly has to travel. The trip likely fell through, since Csáth himself wrote a review of the work in the March 1, 1912 issue of Világ, while Fodor published his review in the March 3 issue of A Hét.
