A szerző a kiterjedt körösszeghi és adorjáni gróf Csáky család, egy ősrégi eredetű magyar nemesi család sarja. A középiskolát a debreceni Fazekas Mihály gimnáziumban 1881-ben végzi, utána tanulmányai folytatására Budapestre kerül. Pályája 1896-tól 1904-ig követhető; ezen időszak alatt a Kereskedelemügyi- valamint a Belügyminisztérium alkalmazottja. Ifjúkori regénye önéletrajzi ihletésű, fiatalkori éveit írja meg egy amatőr irodalmár lelkesedésével. Ismereteink szerint nyomtatásban sosem jelent meg.
