A díszes, elegáns kötést a barokk nagyszombati kötészeti stílus inspirálta. A nagyszombati könyvkötészet virágkorában, a 18. században e típus hatott a győri, kőszegi, kassai, pozsonyi kötészet termékeire. A kötéstáblát növényi és állatmotívumokat felhasználó ornamentika díszíti.
