A cionizmus prominens magyarországi képviselője a Magyarországi Cionista Szövetség (MCSZ), amely a magyarországi cionista szervezetek intézményes kerete. Az MCSZ 1927-ben alakult, és megalakulása óta tagja a Cionista Világszervezetnek. Az MCSZ a második világháború előtt, a német csapatok 1944. márciusi bevonulása előtt törvényes keretek között működött, és fontos szerepet játszott a zsidó fiatalok nevelésében és oktatásában.
