George Buday's sixth little book. The "sentiment" that is the greeting rhymes of old Christmas cards. London, 1950. (Rossetti.) 16 lev. Részben felvágatlan példány. Fűzve, illusztrált kiadói borítékban. Buday György (1909-1990) grafikus, fametsző, könyvművész, díszlettervező. Hatott rá a német expresszionizmus, Der Blaue Reiter művészcsoportcsoport, Vaszilij Kandinszkij és Mattis Teutsch János művészete, mindezen hatások és a magyar mesék, legendák, balladák motívumainak metamorfózisaként alakult ki az ő egyedi, páratlan művészete, amely nemcsak itt, egy kis közép-európai régióban, hanem a művelt nyugati világban is szeretet és tiszteletet váltott ki. 1936-37-ben ösztöndíjasként dolgozik a Római Magyar Akadémián, majd 1937-ben angliai állami ösztöndíjat nyert. Angliai ösztöndíja után azonban Londonban telepedett le. Radnóti Miklósné könyvtárából.
