Rare, original outline coloured map of the Caribbean, which is one of several charts prepared to illustrate the theatres of war of the American Revolution. The editors – Jacques Esnaut and Michel Rapilly – produced a highly detailed regional depiction that ranks this work among the best maps of the period. The upper right of the map field contains an extensive historical description in French about the Antilles, while the title cartouche is placed near to the lower-left corner. With some toning along centrefold. Dimensions: 520 x 760 (555 x 775) mm.
