A magyar történetírás egyik legjelentősebb alkotásának teljes szövege. Az olasz származású humanista szerző Mátyás király felkérésére kezdett hozzá a munkához, amelynek befejezésében II. Ulászló uralkodása idején bekövetkezett halála akadályozta meg. 1543-ban még csak az első három dekád jelent meg, a többi csak 1568-ban látott nyomtatásban napvilágot, Zsámboky János kiadásában.
Díszesen aranyozott gerincű, korabeli egészbőr-kötésben. A gerincen kis sérüléssel, ettől eltekintve jó példány. A belső táblán dr. Fekete György ex-librise.
