Pest, 1863. Geibel A. (Grill Károly) bizományában. 1 t. (kőnyomatú díszcímlap) + [8] + 106 p. + 7 t. (tónusos kőnyomat). Egyetlen kiadás.
Birly István egyik megalapítója volt 1861-ben a Budapesti Hajósegyletnek. Barátjával, Rosti Pállal 1862-ben Rotterdamba szállították „Ellida” nevű csónakjukat, feleveztek a Rajnán, majd a Majnán át a Dunán Pestig ereszkedtek. Megérkezésük valódi népünnepély volt. Birly István könyvében erről az útról számol be.
Példányunkból hiányzik az utolsó levél, valamint egy tábla.

Díszes, dúsan aranyozott, gerincén enyhén kopott kiadói egészvászon kötésben, aranyozott lapszélekkel, jó példány. Nagyon ritka könyv.
