Battle of Hermannstadt, where the Hungarians (March 11th 1849) under Gen. Bem were victorious against the united armies of Austria and Russia
Gyönyörűen színezett kőnyomat a nagyszebeni ütközetről. St. Louis-ban jelent meg 1852-ben. Schaerff & Brothers műhelyében készült, Eduard Scheifele rajza nyomán. Ő 1849-ben Nagyszebenben szolgált cs. kir. hadnagyként. A város bevétele után átállt a honvédsereghez. A szabadságharc leverése után a Török Birodalomba menekült. Bona Gábor munkájában csupán annyit említ, hogy 1851 szeptemberében az Egyesült Államokba készült. A rendkívül ritka lapból tudomásunk szerint hazai közgyűjteményekben nincs példány. A nemzeti könyvtárban őrzik a hozzá tartozó kis füzetet, amely az összecsapás leírását tartalmazza. Mérete: 465 x 615 mm.
