Renaissance goblet from Augsburg Chalice from the Prandorf Evangelic Church
(Alsóbaka, Hont vármegye) Gold-plated silver, 242 gr. Chased, punched and chiseled. Round stepped base with foliate ornamentation. Fluted nodus. On the cup there are Repeating foliate motifs in medallion. On the base from the same period There is an engraved dedication: "HUNC CAlicem Ad SAcros Eccl(esi)ae Ev(ange) licae PrAndorfen: USUS. AnnA ElisAbetA de Schmidegg obtulit. Anno 1714. Die 25 1Obris" Scratched MR initials of the owner. Augsburg, between 1600-05, Hans Schaffeytel (worked: 1592-1628). Seling: 23*, 1083. Size: 18 cm
