Italian photographer Antonio Sansone was one of the most significant figures during the post- World War II era. His images are regarded as an important chapter in the neorealist movement that in Italy developed along anthropological lines, along with Franco Pinna or Tino Petrelli, for example. Sansone photographed the people of Naples, the faces and rituals of Italian politics, everyday life across Europe, from Ireland to France, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Romania and other countries.
